About Chef Tawanna
I was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi and came to Southern California with my family at about 5 years old. Over the years, my brother and I would return to the South during the summer and I'd watch my auntie making magic in the kitchen. My aunt would make greens, turkey, yams, roast, ham, string beans, macaroni and cheese, corn bread, cakes, pies and peach cobblers. She loved to cook and I loved to help.
I am a graduate of the world famous Le Cordon Bleu California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California. Before attending CSCA, I attended Vanguard University of Southern California in Costa Mesa, California where I received my degree in Business. At that time I thought I wanted to go into Business, but decided to go into the Culinary Arts field after watching a commercial for Le Cordon Bleu. That was the turning point in my life. I decided to start T's Tasty Treats & Catering!
